In a press briefing held on Thursday, Paul Ngei, the Lower Eastern Caucus Coordinator of the Kenya Chapter, alongside a group of youth leaders, called for a change in Kenya’s leadership, citing the country’s pressing socio-economic challenges.

Addressing journalists, Ngei highlighted the alarming levels of unemployment, the rising cost of living, inadequate infrastructure, and food insecurity, stressing that Kenyans are yearning for a fresh, dynamic leadership that prioritizes economic liberation and inclusivity.

“The high unemployment rate, soaring cost of living, and persistent marginalization demand competent leadership,” Ngei said. “Kenya needs a leader who can steer the country towards prosperity and equitable development.”

Ngei endorsed Eliud Okechi Owalo as the leader capable of transforming Kenya. He praised Owalo for his integrity, discipline, and inclusive approach during his tenure as ICT Cabinet Secretary, emphasizing that Owalo’s leadership transcends county and tribal lines.

“Eliud Owalo is a certified human resource manager and managerial consultant. He has demonstrated that he can lead without discrimination, ensuring that teachers, doctors, police officers, and the entire workforce are in capable hands,” Ngei added.

He urged Kenyans to reject tribal politics and give Owalo a chance to lead, predicting that under his leadership, Kenya could achieve a level of development akin to Singapore.

“The people of Kenya deserve a leader who can effectively manage the economy and tackle the high cost of living. Eliud Owalo is that leader,” Ngei concluded.
