Wiper Democratic Movement Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has launched a sharp criticism against President William Ruto, accusing the Head of State of directly meddling in the recently concluded by-elections across the country.
Speaking during a Thanksgiving Sunday Service for Mumbuni North Ward MCA-elect Hon. Anthony Kisoi, Kalonzo claimed the Kenya Kwanza administration played a disruptive role in the electoral process. The service, held at a local church in the ward, brought together top leaders from the region in a show of political unity.
Kalonzo alleged that the government was fully aware of irregularities that occurred in Mbeere North and Malava constituencies, insisting that evidence had already been gathered and would soon be made public.
“The president knows UDA didn’t win in the Mbeere North and Malava constituencies. We have evidence of what happened, and we will reveal it soon,” he asserted.
The Wiper boss also dismissed ongoing attempts by parties aligned with the government to form a broad-based coalition, stating that the united opposition remained solid and unshaken.
“They know the united opposition is strong. Even the coalition they are trying to form on their side will not work,” he said.
Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti echoed Kalonzo’s sentiments, sharply criticizing leaders within Kenya Kwanza—particularly the coalition’s Secretary-General Hassan Omar—whom she accused of disrespecting the Kamba community, the Wiper Party, and its leadership.
“Hassan Omar, it is the Wiper Party that made you what you are today. Stop despising the Wiper Party. We will not let that pass—respect the party and its leader,” Wavinya warned.
The governor further reassured Kalonzo of unwavering support from Machakos County, emphasizing continued unity and confidence in his national leadership.
“You have good soldiers in Machakos County. We trust your leadership, and we stand firmly behind you,” she added.
Prominent lawyer and political commentator Ndegwa Njiru also took aim at the IEBC, accusing Chairperson Erastus Ethekon and the commission of failing to respond to reported malpractices during the by-elections. He announced that a legal challenge against the Mbeere North results would be filed.
Other leaders present reaffirmed their support for Kalonzo Musyoka’s 2027 presidential bid, signaling growing political momentum within the Wiper stronghold.
