Wiper Patriotic Front Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has sounded a stern warning over what he describes as a “massive, illegal transfer of voters” allegedly being orchestrated ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during a function in Kikuumini, Makueni yesterday, Kalonzo claimed that hundreds of thousands of Kenyans are unknowingly finding their voter details moved to distant counties without their consent.

Kalonzo said the trend mirrors what he believes happened in 2022, insisting that “over one million voters were secretly transferred,” a move he claims contributed to the electoral frustrations seen by the Azimio coalition leaders at the time.

“Young people are registering as voters, but imagine registering in Kilifi and later discovering your vote has been shifted to Meru without your knowledge. This is exactly what happened in 2022, and we will not allow it again,” he warned.

He revealed that the Wiper team is collecting evidence and is prepared to move to court if necessary, adding that such manipulation threatens the country’s democratic foundation.

“Kenya cannot slide into the kind of electoral deceit we see in some countries around this region. We’ve come too far. The youths of this country, just like young people globally, are standing up for their rights,” Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo also dismissed claims circulating online that he is warming up to President William Ruto, after images of the President walking alongside Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr sparked speculation.

“Someone calling himself Mutai sent me a message saying it’s only a matter of time before I join Ruto. Tell Owen Mbaya to inform his boss that he will find me on the ballot — and we will defeat him honourably,” he stated.

He accused the President of engaging in political theatrics during development tours, citing the recent Emali–Ukia Road launch, where heavy machinery allegedly disappeared from the site a day after Ruto’s visit.

“You cannot fool a whole nation. If a contractor exists, they should remain on site. A responsible president does not launch a non-existent project that isn’t even in the budget,” Kalonzo said, calling the acts “shameful, deceptive, and a world record in political dishonesty.”

Kalonzo concluded by saying the country is experiencing a political awakening led by Gen Z, calling the moment a “revolutionary window” to restore accountability and end electoral fraud.

He insisted that the national mood already points to a desire for change in 2027, stressing that the alleged voter manipulation will not go unchallenged.
