Kenya Police Bullets FC have parted ways with head coach Beldine Odemba, ending a hugely successful tenure marked by dominance in the FKF Women’s Premier League.
The CAF A license holder leaves with an enviable record, two league titles in two seasons, including the remarkable unbeaten 2023/24 campaign where Bullets cemented their place as the team to beat. In total, she lost just one league game during her spell in charge, underlining the consistency and tactical discipline she brought to the squad.
Her departure, however, comes in the shadow of disappointment. Despite their domestic dominance, Bullets failed to qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League as Cecafa representatives, a factor believed to have weighed in on the club’s decision to shake things up.
Stepping into her shoes is David “Vijago” Bujego, the former Kibera Soccer Women tactician. Vijago arrives with pedigree, having led Kibera to the FKF Women’s Cup title earlier this year. The club hopes his arrival will inject fresh energy and continental ambition into the team.
For Odemba, the focus now shifts to a bigger stage, her role with the national team, Harambee Starlets.
