The 45th Kenya Communications Sports Organisation (KECOSO) Games have officially come to an end in Machakos, with the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development (MOTIHUD) emerging as the overall winners.

The 45th Kenya Communications Sports Organisation (KECOSO) Games have officially come to an end in Machakos, with the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development (MOTIHUD) emerging as the overall winners.
MOTIHUD finished top of the standings, followed by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) in second place, while Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), the 2025 champions, settled for third.
The closing day featured thrilling athletics and track events at Kenyatta Stadium, where several athletes recorded impressive double victories.
Nineteen-year-old Martin Ndungi, representing the ICT Authority, claimed both the men’s 5,000m and 3,000m titles. Ndungi said his success was the result of intensive training, teamwork and the support of his coach. He also noted that he is the reigning champion of the recently concluded Mombasa Marathon.
Communications Authority athlete Frida Bosibori Abuga also secured a double victory, winning the women’s 5,000m and 1,500m events.
Julius Musyoki, who trains in Machakos and represented the Kenya Ports Authority, finished first in the men’s 800m and second in the 1,500m.
The athletes said they hope to use their performances as a stepping stone to compete in more national and international events and achieve further success.
The KECOSO Games brought together teams from various government agencies and institutions, including the Communications Authority of Kenya, Kenya Airports Authority, Kenya Maritime Authority, ICT Authority and the Ministry of Roads and Transport.
Participants competed in a wide range of disciplines, including football, athletics, darts, netball, pool, basketball, snooker, scrabble, swimming, volleyball, table tennis and golf.
